Our 3 Eureka lemon trees were recently planted in the spring so we don’t have any lemons yet. Fortunately, a generous neighbor shared her Meyer lemons with us. We will squeeze and freeze the lemon juice in 1 cup portions for future uses like homemade lemonade, lemon cookie bars, lemon bread, and homemade tartar sauce. Yum!
The sunflower sprouts on the top of our toaster oven are used for our daily salads. We grow sunflowers every summer and enjoy sprouting the seeds all year. They add a depth of flavor and nutrition to our salads.
